Layla Safinia, MA, CCC-SLP
Owner and Speech-Language Pathologist

I’m Layla, the owner and speech-language pathologist (SLP) at Embrace Speech & Language Therapy. I am a state-licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist practicing in SF proper. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in Spanish Studies and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, with a minor in Neuroscience. I went on to complete my Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Texas at Austin.

 

I offer speech/language evaluations, 1:1 or group treatment sessions, parent coaching/consultations, and treatment for language-based learning differences, including dyslexia. In addition to my practice, I work at Stanford Children’s Hospital in the outpatient pediatric clinic.

 

I have completed the following advanced trainings:

• Hanen More Than Words

• PROMPT Trained

• Orton-Gillingham Associate Training

• Lidcombe Program Certified

• Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy Trained

 

I am deeply passionate about communication as a human right. Beyond expressing our basic wants and needs, communication enables us to create relationships and deepen our connections with the people around us.

 

When I’m not working, you can find me hiking around the Bay Area, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with my friends and family.
